WARREN - Glen F. Snelbaker, 75, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at St. Joseph Hospital after a long illness.
He was born Feb. 13, 1937, in Alliance, the son of the late George and Lucille Snelbaker.
Glen had served in the U.S. Navy Reserve and had worked as a machinist for both Amweld and Republic Steel for nearly 45 years.

He was a longtime member of Central Christian Church in Warren and First Baptist Church in Warren, where he enjoyed choir and many other activities.
Among his many interests were camping, photography, genealogy and naval history.
He participated as an adult leader in the Boy Scouts, the Cub Scouts and the Warren Junior Military Band.
His family would like to say that Glen was friendly and outgoing and brought joy to countless family members and friends.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Margaret "Peggy" Smith Snelbaker, whom he married June 5, 1993; two sons, James Snelbaker of Akron and Todd (Stephanie) Snelbaker of Whitehouse, Tenn.; a daughter, Dana Bird of Whitehouse; three stepsons, Dale (Pam) Moore of Benton Harbor, Mich., Dwight (Jennifer) Moore of Niles and Dean (Patricia) Moore of Tucson, Ariz.; a stepdaughter, Donna (Randy) Florida of Howland; two brothers, Wilbur Snelbaker of Warren and Robert Snelbaker of St. Augustine, Fla.; and a sister, Bernice Higgins of St. Augustine.
Also surviving are eight grandsons, Jericho, Logan, Joshua and Dylan Snelbaker and Jason, Nick, Daniel and Eric Florida; and eight granddaughters, Reagan Bird, Cadence, Diana, Darla, Kassie, Chelsea and Abigail Moore and Carly Florida, as well as five great-grandchildren.
Glen was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Mikel Snelbaker; an infant daughter, Heidi Snelbaker; and two brothers, Francis and Joseph Snelbaker.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive N.E., Warren. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna.
