Frances M. Pugh, 1961-2012

ALBION, Neb. - Frances "Fran" M. Pugh, 50, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at the Boone County Health Center.

Frances, the daughter of John and Carolyn B. Mikula Boron, was born Aug. 16, 1961, in Warren. She attended Warren G. Harding High School where she enjoyed softball and tennis, graduating in 1979.

On May 5, 1984, Fran was united in marriage to Mickey Pugh in Clayton, N.M. The couple lived in Oklahoma for two years before moving to Harper, Kan. They lived there until 1996, when the family moved to Cedar Rapids, Neb. In 2010, they moved to Albion.

Fran worked several jobs including PST Milling in Albion, the Cedar Rapids Senior Center, the Boone County Health Center, and most recently at the Cedar Rapids State Bank, where she was a loan assistant until her health no longer permitted her to work.

She enjoyed tennis, reading, camping and boating, latch hook, and most of all she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Since moving to Cedar Rapids, she had been a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Surviving Fran is her husband, Mickey of Albion; three sons, Michael (Natalie) Pugh and grandchildren Lauren and Logan of Albion; Mark Pugh (fiancee Krystle Vickers) and grandchildren Madison and Ashlynn, all of Omaha, and Mitchell Pugh of Kearney, Neb; her father, John Boron of Niles; four sisters, Carol (David) Carlin of Las Vegas, Gloria Boron of Charlotte, N.C., Donna Everhart (fiance Richard Curl) of Newton Falls and Teresa (Charles) Reilly of Poland; one brother, Michael (Laura) Boron of Chesapeake, Va., along with many nephews, a niece, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Boron.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. today at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, with burial in the parish cemetery. Visitation will 8 to 9 a.m. today.
