GIRARD - Charles L. "Chuck" Adovasio, 57, passed away at home Thursday morning, Aug. 9, 2012.
Chuck was born Nov. 23, 1955, in Youngstown, the son of Louis C. and Anne Melko Adovasio.
He was a graduate of Girard High School, class of 1974. He was owner and operator of Chuck's Auto Service on Churchill Road in Girard.
Chuck was a member of St. Rose Church, a member of Girard FOP and a social member of the Girard American Legion and VFW.
He is survived by his mother, Anne Adovasio of Girard; five brothers, Robert J. Adovasio, Michael Adovasio and Louis J. Adovasio, all of Girard, William (Anna) Adovasio of Hubbard, and Mark (Rosemary Bruno) of Austintown; four sisters, Ellen Adovasio of Girard, Linda Adovasio of Niles, Susan Adovasio of Warren and Patricia (Chris) Streamo of Niles; nieces and nephews, William and Laura (Jeremy) Elliott; and great-nephews, Caleb and Collin.
He also leaves special people in his life, his companion, Kathy Uitto; her children, Megan Mills, Ian Jones and Charri (Ken) Everson; and their children, Gabriel and Raeann.
Calling hours will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at McClurkin Funeral Home in Girard.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Rose Church. Prayers will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the church Mass.
Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
