The engagement and upcoming marriage of Dawn M. Koffel and Brian W. Allison are being announced by the bride-elect's mother, Deborah J. Koffel of Southington. She is also the daughter of the late Glen A. Koffel, originally from Lisbon.
The parents of the groom-elect are Judy Sutherin of East Palestine and Jack Allison of New Waterford.
Miss Koffel is owner of DK Show Horses in West Farmington and also is a substitute classroom assistant with Trumbull County Educational Service Center.

Mr. Allison is employed with Front Street Trucking in Niles.
The couple will be united in marriage during an open wedding ceremony to be held Aug. 25, 2012, at New Waterford Park. Invitations will be issued for the reception to follow at the Saxon Club in Salem.
