WAYLAND - Dannie M. Tasker, 82, of Wayland, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012.
He was born July 27, 1930, in Vindex, Md., to Randall H. and Mabel I. Paugh Tasker.
Dannie was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
He retired from Parker Hannifin, where he was a lead man.
Dannie enjoyed fishing, camping and especially spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, the former Leona Turner; daughter, Carolyn Lee of Wayland; sons, Richard (Tammy) Tasker of Wayland, James (Celeste) Tasker of Mineral Ridge, William (Cindy) Tasker of Brimfield, David (Katie) Tasker of Wayland and Ray (Stacey) Tasker of Champion. Dannie had 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind a sister, Myrtle Carr of Maryland, and a brother, Darryl Tasker of West Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Melvin Paugh.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. The Rev. Jim Kyle and Rev. Brad Edder will officiate.
Burial will follow at Hawley Cemetery in Paris Township.
