Myrtle S. Fenton 1915-2012

NEWTON FALLS - Myrtle S. Fenton, 97, of Newton Falls, passed away peacefully at 6:06 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at Laurie Ann Nursing Home in Newton Falls.

She was born on March 30, 1915, in Lake Milton, the daughter of the late Raymond Helsel and Gertrude Porter Helsel.

She married the love of her life, Wilbur F. Fenton, on June 24, 1936, in Grove City, Pa., and they enjoyed 42 blessed years of marriage together before he passed away on Oct. 14, 1978.

Myrtle attended the Lake Milton Baptist Church.

She enjoyed spending time in her flower garden and working in her yard.

Memories of Myrtle will be carried on by her loving family, her son, Norman F. Fenton of Newton Falls; her two grandchildren, Sherry (Bill) Burnside and Connie Allcorn, both of Newton Falls; her three great-grandchildren, David, Nicholas and Tyler Reed, all of Newton Falls; and her two great-great-grandchildren, Konner and Lucas Reed of Newton Falls.

Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband and three sisters, Ruthdea Johns, Doris Cowell and Freda Linden.

Calling hours will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Lake Milton Baptist Temple, and the funeral service will be held immediately following at 11 a.m.

Myrtle will be laid to rest next to her husband, Wilbur, at Jackson Township Cemetery in North Jackson.
