LEONARDTOWN, Md. - John A. Ward, 67, died Saturday, July 28, 2012, at St. Mary's Hospital in Maryland.
John was born Dec. 8, 1944, in Cortland, the son of John and Sophia Rylander Ward.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked at Lockheed Martin.

He was a member of Lexington Park United Methodist Church.
Besides his mother of Cortland, John is survived by his wife, Carol A. Stephens Ward; children, Carrie Roland of Delaware, Jeff Ward of St. Petersburg, Fla., Bill Keen of Valley Lee, Md., and John Keen of Drayden, Md.; a sister, Sheila Stiver of Cortland; a brother, Tom Ward of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; and eight grandchildren.
Arrangements were handled by the Brinsfield Funeral Home, Pa., Leonardtown.
