YOUNGSTOWN - Dorothy M. Minnie Sammartino, 79, of Youngstown, died Tuesday evening, Aug. 7, 2012.
She was born Sept. 3, 1932, in Youngstown, the daughter of Frank and Luci Etri Minnie.
Dorothy retired from Youngstown City Schools as a cafeteria worker, and was a member of St. Brendan's Church.

She is survived by a son, Steve Sammartino III of Austintown; two daughters, Beverly O'Leary of Austintown and Mary Jo Sirohman of Louisville; six grandchildren; a sister, Helen Farina; and two brothers, James and Michael Minnie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen S. Sammartino Jr., and two sisters.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Brendan Church, preceded by a 9:10 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, Boardman. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
