Shirley A. Mann 1938-2012

NILES - Shirley A. Mann, 74, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at the Hospice House after a brief illness and surrounded by her loving husband and family.

She was born June 25, 1938, in Neffs, the daughter of the late James and Alice Bumgardner.

Shirley retired after 30 years of employment from Packard Electric in 1989. She was a current member of Woodland Park United Methodist Church in McDonald, and a longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church in Warren.

Her family would like to say that Shirley was a true matriarch of her family, and was a wonderful role model to her children and grandchildren. She was the glue of her family, and God in his mercy saw fit to take this special angel home and she will be dearly missed by the love of her life and best friend, Tom Mann, whom she married Dec. 3, 1969.

Other than her beloved husband, Tom, she leaves behind her children, Alton (Millie) Cooley, Carla (David) Davies and Randall (Darlene) Mann; her stepchildren, Kim Steedly, Karen Mann and Ted (Katie) Mann; her grandchildren, LaShonda (Andre) Coleman, Natalie (Jason) Wise, Amber (LaVaile) Richardson, Michael Cooley, Brad O'Rourke, Matthew Mann, Joshua Mann and Jesse Smith; her stepgrandchildren, Lindsey and Ashley Steedly, Natalie Gonzales and Valerie (Dax) Hughes; her great-grandchildren, Carmen and Norah Wise, Jalyn and Tyra Powell, Kiyah and Ameera Coleman, Ty, Trey and Tevin Richardson, Janelle Shiflett, and Hailey, Hayden and Jaxon Mann; her stepgreat grandchildren, Preston and Braxton Steedly and Jasmine Gonzales; and her siblings, Howard Weekly, Rosalie (Ken) Gilbert, Bernice Joseph and James (Lois) Bumgardner.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Don Weekly, William and George Bumgardner.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Grace United Methodist Church, where Pastor Glenn Hamilton will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Entombment will be in Pineview Memorial Park in Warren.

The family requests that material contributions be made to Hospice House of Poland 9803 Sharrott Road Poland, OH 44514, in her memory.
