NEW CASTLE, Pa. - Michael G. Volansky, 74, of West State Street, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at Edison Manor.
He was born April 3, 1938, in Dubois, Pa., the son of Michael J. and Mary Slotta Volansky.
Mr. Volansky retired as a steelworker from WCI Steel in Warren and was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include three daughters, Stacy Canne of Wisconsin, Michelle Volansky of McDonald and Suzette Diamond of New Castle; three sisters, Eleanor Bouch of McDonald, Pa., Georganne Bianco of Warren and Betsy Woodling of Freedom, Pa.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mary Louise Brezenski.
There will be no calling hours. A blessing service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory in New Castle.
