Ohio Lottery prize of $226,000 unclaimed

WARREN - The winner of an Ohio Lottery prize worth more than a quarter-million dollars has yet to claim the prize, lottery officials said Friday.

A Rolling Cash 5 ticket worth about $226,000 was sold Wednesday at Gasland, 2851 Larchmont Ave., lottery officials and store management confirmed Friday. No winner has come forward to claim the prize.

This is the same retail location that sold a winning Rolling Cash 5 ticket worth about $100,000 and a $250,000 Mega Millions ticket in recent years, store assistant manager Jennifer Fuller said Friday.

The retailer will receive a $500 prize for selling the ticket.

The holder of the ticket can take the ticket to any Ohio Lottery agent to claim the prize, a lottery spokeswoman said.

While the winner has a year to claim the prize, Fuller suggested that might not be the best idea.

''You might not want to leave the ticket laying around for that long,'' Fuller said.
