Hiring event set by county one-stops

The One-Stop Workforce System of Trumbull, Mahoning and Colum-biana counties will hold recruiting sessions for 20 positions at the Things Remembered distribution center in North Jackson.

Full-time employees will have predictable schedules, training, 40 percent discount on purchases and a 401K plan, as well as medical, dental and life insurance. Positions are available on the first and second shifts, and pay is $8 per hour.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, possess excellent spelling skills, have basic computer and Windows skills and be able to work weekends and overtime.

A recruiting event will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. today at the Trumbull County One-Stop, 280 N. Park Ave., Warren. Applicants can go to the Mahoning County One-Stop at the Boardman Plaza, state Route 224, from 8 a.m. to noon on Wednesday. Applications also will be taken from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 31 at the Columbiana One-Stop, 7860 Lincole Place, Lisbon.

The One-Stop Workforce System is a collaborative partnership that brings together more than 30 organizations, services and programs to help job seekers and employers.
