NILES - Aline V. Pappada, 91, of Niles, died at 10:10 a.m. Sunday, July 22, 2012, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Oct. 2, 1920, in Milwaukee, Wisc., the daughter of Roger and Agnes Zapp Plennes.
A homemaker, Aline was a 1938 graduate of South High School in Milwaukee and member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles. She enjoyed spending time with her family, had a love for music and played the accordion in her younger days.

Her husband, Dominic Pappada, whom she married June 20, 1945, died Oct. 4, 2000.
Aline, who was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, will be deeply missed by four sons, David (Susan) Pappada of Niles, Jim (Linda) Pappada of Niles, Ralph (Sharon) Pappada of Warren and Nick Pappada and his fiancee Maggie Riley of Niles; two daughters, Donna (Robert) Lee of Newton Falls and Dianne Pappada, with whom she made her home; 11 grandchildren, David (Karlene) Pappada, Andrea (Dan) Bucci, Marc (Stephanie) Pappada, Brian (Mary) Pappada, Jim (Stacey) Pappada, Scott Pappada, Laura Pappada, Ashley Pappada, Nick Pappada, Anthony Vine and Lyndsae Vine; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by a brother, Gene R. Plennes.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles, where the Mount Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 7:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles with the Rev. John-Michael Lavelle, D. Min., pastor, officiating, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
The family is forever grateful to her loving caregiver Lisa Ratliff and all of the wonderful staff of Grace Hospice of Boardman and the Visiting Physicians of Boardman.
