BROOKFIELD - Until further notice, a boil alert has been issued in the Valley View estates area of Brookfield after a water main break on Friday afternoon.
The Trumbull County 911 Center said the first call came in about 2:45 p.m. from a resident on Valley View Drive N.E., who reported there was water flooding the street near Warren Sharon Road.
The alert applies to residents on Yankee Run Road, Lincoln Avenue, Valley View Drive, Lee Drive N.E., Lynita Drive, Crestwood Drive N.E., Springdale Drive, Sunnydell Drive, Northview Drive and Wildwood Drive.
Residents should boil tap water used for cooking and drinking by bringing the water to a rolling boil for 3 to 5 minutes.
