The 79th annual Our Lady of Mount Carmel Festival kicked off Wednesday with food, games, rides and entertainment. The festival, which will be held through Sunday, is known for its cheese puffs, cavatelli and pastry twists.

Lunch, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily
Food, rides and games, 5 to 11 p.m. today to Friday and 3 to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
Entertainment, the Rocky Monaco Band, 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. today; Tonelli Band, 6 to 11 p.m. Friday; the Jim Frank Trio, 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday; and John Gabriele, 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, and Frank Gallo, 6 to 11 p.m. Sunday
