GIRARD - Janice Stephany, 52, died Sunday, July 15, 2012, at her residence following a battle with cancer.
She was born Nov. 10, 1959, in Youngstown, the daughter of Manuel and June Washington Day.
She was co-owner of the Kidz Kastle Day Care in Girard and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Girard.

Survivors include her husband, Larry L. Stephany Jr.; her mother of Girard; a son, Tyler M. Stephany at home; a daughter, Jessica Stephany at home; a brother, Thomas Edward Day of Austintown; and two sisters, Christine Ann Karabin of Howland and Theresa L. Herrick of Girard.
She was preceded in death by her father and a brother.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Girard. Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McClurkin Funeral Home in Girard and one hour prior to services at the church.
