GARRETTSVILLE - Betty M. Nedelka, 87, of Garrettsville, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 11, 1924, in Sandusky to Albert and Winifred Grindle Ceboll.
Her life was defined by her love for her family and service to others. Besides spending time with her family, she enjoyed watching her birds, especially her hummingbirds.

She was a charter member of St. Ambrose Church, and a longtime member of the Altar & Rosary Society. She worked as the church sacristan and as a catechist for many years. Her faith sustained her and others throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank whom she married June 9, 1951; and her son Cecil in 1998; daughters-in-law Bonnie in 2000 and Brenda in 2005; and two brothers and one sister.
Betty is survived by her children, Don (Janeen) SparksNedelka of North Royalton, Winnie (Jim) Lawrence of Garrettsville, Terry (Denise) Nedelka of Springfield, Pa., and Frank of Garrettsville; a brother, Don Ceboll of Parma; 24 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
The family extends a special thanks to her caregivers and Robinson Hospice for their compassion and excellent care.
Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Ohio 44231. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 10692 Freedom St. Garrettsville, OH 44231.
Burial will follow at Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty's name to St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
