If they can urge, they can mandate

DEAR EDITOR:

I read the article in the Tribune, "Doctors urged to screen for obesity." Have you noticed your doctor does not walk around with a notebook any more; he now has a computer and enters all the information about you and the government has access to this. This panel of doctors in Washington has a name, U.S. Preventative Services Task Force, remember this last word "force."

Right now they just "urge"; doctors next will "make," and not just about obesity. This is how a socialist government starts. The reason the Supreme Court voted for the Obamacare was the one word "mandate" which is another word for "tax" and Congress is allowed to "tax" us. Get used to that word, too. Our government is good at that, and it will hit the middle class, what's left of us, and I guarantee not one of our politicians who represent us will have to be on this new health care plan.

Seems the government wants us all to be poor to get a "tax credit" to offset its insurance cost if we cannot afford to buy insurance. Trust me, none of us will be able to afford it. Small companies will not hire more than 49 employees, and in turn, these people will have to buy insurance, and they are not making enough to afford insurance. Great idea?

Remember insurance companies are in the business to make money, not lose money. Young people better wake up; they cannot keep getting things for nothing. Money has a tendency to run out, and then where will our government get the money? This generation of Americans can now get used to taking orders from this government, because if they can "urge," "make," "mandate," they can "force" you to pay for anything - they just have to call it a tax. I miss the America I grew up in. I miss "We the People."
