CORTLAND - Thomas L. Wood Jr., 44, died at 8:53 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Health Center after suffering a massive heart attack.
He was born July 29, 1967, in Summersville, W.Va., the son of Thomas L. Wood Sr. of Fort Myers, Fla., and Alice L. Schaaff Wood of Roanoke, Va.
Tom was a self-employed mechanic, and he liked to work on cars and go four-wheeling.

Survivors include his parents; his stepmother, Mary Norma Wood of Fort Myers, Fla.; his companion, Shirley K. Falba, with whom he made his home; his companion's children, Brandie Falba and Brandon Wells; a brother, Timothy (Deborah) Wood of Warren; and a niece, Ashley Huff of Warren.
There will be a memorial visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. There will be no service.
