GLEN BURNIE, Md. - Kevin W. Updyke, 56, of Glen Burnie, died Friday, June 29, 2012, in Maryland.
He was born Nov. 9, 1955, in Warren, the son of Harry and Sondra Updyke.
Kevin was employed with Verizon since August 1983. He was a member of the Stoney Creek Hunting and Fishing Cub, West Glen Burnie Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and also the Niles and North Warren congregations in Ohio.

He enjoyed riding his Harley, hunting, and going to car shows and dirt track races.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 29 years, Betty; five children, Jason (Leanne) Updyke, Bethanie (Don) McNeal, David (Tamiya) Fishel, Tammy (Seth) Waldo and Melanie (fiance Mark Johnson) Fishel; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Tim Updyke and Dennis (DaRita) Updyke; and one sister, Rachael Updyke.
Services were held at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services in Glen Burnie.
Interment was at Meadowridge Memorial Park.
