The engagement and upcoming marriage of Mary Catherine A. Denman and Philip A. Mazi are being announced by the couple's parents, William A. and Mary Anne Denman of Cortland and Judy A. Mazi and Samuel R. Bickel of Cortland. The groom-elect is also the son of the late Jerome J. Mazi.
The bride-elect graduated from Lakeview High School in 2005 and from The University of Toledo in 2009 with a bachelor of arts degree. She is a fourth year graduate student at The University of Pittsburgh, working as an audiology extern at Washington Ear, Nose and Throat in Washington, Pa. She is pursuing a doctorate in audiology.
Mr. Mazi is also a 2005 graduate of Lakeview, and graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2010 with a bachelor of science in business administration, specializing in accounting and economics. He is employed by Alpern Rosenthal in Pittsburgh.

The couple will be united in marriage during a wedding ceremony to be held Jan. 12, 2013, at St. James Roman Catholic Church in Warren. Invitations will be issued for the ceremony and an evening reception to be held at Ciminero's Banquet Centre.
