ANTIQUE ENGINE CLUB HOSTS SHOW: The Ashtabula County Antique Engine Club's 31st annual three-day show will be held Friday to Sunday at the grounds, 4026 state Route 322. Concerts are scheduled including Tom Coltman and Friends and Red Dust Mountain Boys on Saturday and Dan Schall on Sunday.
TAILS, TRAILS AND CARNIVAL EVENT TO HELP ANIMALS: The 2012 "Tails, Trails and Carnival"?Animal Walk hosted by Safe at Last Dog Rescue and TNR of Warren will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Mosquito Lake State Park, 1439 state Route 305, Cortland. The event will include dog and children games and vendors, Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle and concession stand. Activities will focus on teaching children about pets. Each animal registered to walk will get free treats. Those who raise $50 or more will have the $10 entrance fee waived. First 50 walkers registered get a carnival T-shirt. Pledge forms are available at www.safeatlastdogrescue.org. All proceeds will help support Safe At Last Dog Rescue and TNR of Warren. PUPPET SHOW HELD AT LIBRARY: Lordstown Branch Liberty, 1471 Salt Springs Road, will hold ''Out of this World'' at 2 p.m. Thursday. The youth services staff will perform a spacey puppet show.
RETIRED TEACHERS TO MEET: The Trumbull Retired Teachers Association will hold the annual spelling bee at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Trumbull County Fair. Every participant receives a gift bag of coupons and treats donated by TRTA members and local businesses.
