Sales of the Chevrolet Cruze fell 23.8 percent in June from the same month in 2011, mainly because June 2011 was a record-setting month for the Lordstown-built small car.
General Motors Co. reported shipping 18,983 Cruzes to dealers in June compared to 24,896 a year ago, when it was the nation's best-selling small car.
Year-to-date increased to 113,884 versus 122,972 for the same period in 2011.
