NEWTON FALLS HOLDS FESTIVAL: The Newton Falls Lions Club Festival will be held from Saturday to July 4 at the city park off Quarry Street. There will be rides, games, food and entertainment daily. The parade will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday starting at the Church of God, 426 W. Broad St. Fireworks are 10 p.m. Wednesday. A pie baking contest and auction will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday for judging followed by the auction. Musical entertainment includes Bring Bentar from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday; After Midnight, 7 to 11 p.m. Monday; Rudy and the Professionals, 7 to 11 p.m. Tuesday; and Jenny and the Jets, 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday. There will be a treasure hunt at 3 p.m. Tuesday and fireworks July 4. Midway by Premium Shows of America.
