WARREN -- City police are investigating five separate shootings throughout the weekend, some the result of a feud between rivals, records indicate.
In one case, a woman reported her 770 Fourth St. S.W. home was shot at for the second time in the last week because of an on-going feud between her son and another man. Later in the day, in a separate incident, a man reported his teeth were knocked out with the butt of a rifle and was shot at during an argument over a cocaine deal.
No one in the reported shootings was struck by a bullet.
Reports said at about 1 p.m. Friday, TaShia D. Fizer, 25,1170 Roberts Ave. N.W. told police she was driving in the 1500 block of Tod Avenue S.W. when someone riding a motorcycle came up behind her and shot out her back windshield.
At about 2 a.m. Saturday, Charles T. Chiplis, 23, 467 Homewood Ave. S.E., told police he was shot at by a person from whom he was trying to buy cocaine.
Reports said the drug dealers also punched him and struck him with the butt of a rifle. He said they argued over the drug deal at his home and he was beaten. The men fled in a Cadillac and he was taken to Trumbull Memorial Hospital for treatment. Officers noted he was bleeding from his head and mouth, and suffering a severe laceration on his face.
About three hours later, Pamela Warfield, 44, told police her home and vehicle were shot up at about 5 a.m. Warfield told police that a white car pulled up by her house and fired at least six shots; three hit her house and the other three struck her car.
She told police her son was involved in an on-going feud, reports said.
Early Sunday morning, at about 1 a.m., Welton Thomas, of 377 North St. N.W., reported someone shot out three of his home's windows. Reports said officers found eight shell casings in the street in front of his home and recovered two slugs inside the home.
At about 3:30 a.m. Monday Bradley Cluckey, of 2069 Vernon Ave. N.W., told police that someone shot a bullet through his bedroom window, inches above the bed. Cluckey was working at the time, and his wife was not in the bed at the time of the shots, reports said.
