WARREN - Wayne Bruce Provitt, 53, of 139 Roosevelt N.E., Warren, departed this life at 8:25 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2012, at St. Joseph Medical Center following an extended illness.
He was born Nov. 11, 1958, in Warren, the son of T.L. and Dorothy Isabelle Proctor Provitt.
Mr. Provitt was a 1978 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and had been employed with Copperweld Steel Corporation for two years, and enjoyed football, track and gardening.

He leaves to mourn: two sons, Christopher Bruce Provitt of Warren and Deon Leonard Provitt of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Ms. Alisha Hall of Baltimore, Md.; his mother, Ms. Dorothy I. Provitt of Warren; two brothers, Thomas L. (Valencia) Provitt and Henry A. Provitt, both of Warren; three sisters, Mrs. Doreen G. (Darnell) Rodgers and Mrs. Helen C. (Alvin) Howard both of Warren, and Mrs. Tiwatha L. (Jay) Murdock of Massillon; seven grandchildren; and a host of family and friends; special friend, Ms. Amy Virginia Hall Daniels; and spiritual sister, Ms. Shaundra Reed.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, John Wayne Provitt.
Funeral services will be held noon Wednesday at Restoration Christian Fellowship Church. Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Family will receive friends at 139 Roosevelt N.E., Warren.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
