The engagement and upcoming marriage of Amber Marie Kay and Andrew Kenneth Opperman are being announced by the couple.
Parents of the bride-elect are Brent Kay of Liberty Township and Shelly Venneri of Boardman. Parents of the groom-elect are Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth and Kathy Opperman of Brookfield.
Ms. Kay graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in middle childhood education for language arts and social studies. She completed her master's degree this year through Marygrove College in the field of teaching curriculum, instruction and assessment. She is a seventh-grade language arts teacher at Warren City Schools.

Mr. Opperman graduated from New Castle School of Trades with a degree in combination welding. He is a welder at Chevron in Mercer, Pa.
The couple will be married during a ceremony on July 14, 2012, at St. Dominic's Church in Youngstown. Invitations will be issued for the ceremony and a reception to follow at Mr. Anthony's.
