LORDSTOWN - Dave Green won re-election for his second full term as president of United Auto Workers Local 1714 in a close runoff that ended Wednesday.
Green, who finished Jim Kaster's term starting in March 2007, then won election in 2009, collected 659 votes to 646 for challenger Robert "Bobby" Morales.
The two had deadlocked in the first round of voting last week, forcing a runoff.
Will Adams turned back challenger Scott Brubaker for shop chairman, 596 votes to 540, for his third term. Adams was first elected to the position in 2006.
Sherry L. Gaunt won the vice president runoff with 781 votes to 473 for Jeff Wilbush. Louis Robinson Jr. defeated Sallie D. Fullerman, 706 votes to 538, for recording secretary.
Local 1714 represents about 1,450 workers at the General Motors Co. Lordstown Complex.
