NILES - Judith A. Snider Hepler, 70, of Niles, drifted away at 7:45 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2012, in St. Joseph Health Center with her family at her side after a courageous 14-year battle with cancer.
Judy was born July 13, 1941, in Bellaire, the daughter of Norman and Virginia Timberlake Snider, moving here nearly 50 years ago. A 1959 graduate of Bellaire High School, she had been employed by the General Motors Lordstown complex as an inspector, retiring after 29 years of service.
She was a member of the UAW-CAP Council, volunteered for the Contact Crisis Center and several political campaigns. A member of the Order of the Eastern Star, AMVETS Post 106 and the Army-Navy Garrison 252. She also was an organizing member of the committee for the UAW 1714 Credit Union.

Judy enjoyed bluegrass music, traveling, card playing and especially following her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in all of their sports and activities. Her treasured time was always spent with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, Kenneth ''Sonny'' Parker, in 1969; her brother, William ''Billy'' Snider; her infant granddaughter, Tiffany Marie Parker; and her faithful and loving dog, Max.
Judy is survived by her children, her son, Kenneth N. ''Butch'' Parker; her daughter, Kimberly S. Parker; her granddaughters, Jessica and Katrina ''Tweeety'' Parker; her two great-grandchildren, Chace ''Handsome'' Jarome and Cellest ''Judyth'' Parker; a sister, Norma Danadic and her husband, Ron; her sister-in-law, Nancy Snider, all of Niles; her longtime friend, Lowell ''Jack'' Crites of Warren; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements and care have been entrusted to the Robert P. McDermott Memorial Home.
