Stephen G. Bell 1949-2012

NILES - Stephen G. Bell, 62, of Niles, died Thursday, May 17, 2012, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

He was born Aug. 7, 1949, in Weston, W.Va., a son of Glenna Wimer Watson of Beloit and the late Fred Bell.

He worked at Copperweld Steel. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Vietnam War.

Other than his mother, he is survived by his wife, Janice Bell, whom he married Jan. 10, 1969; daughters, Melissa (James) Welch of Liberty and Lisa (Andy Kalinich) Bell of Niles; grandchildren Stephen, Rachael and Sarah Ramsey, and James and Leah Welch; a great-grandson, Ethan Ramsey; his siblings, James (Diane) Bell of Columbiana, Don (Denise) Watson of Minerva, David Watson of Diamond, Keith Watson of Lake Milton, Robert Watson of Beloit, Fred Bell Jr. of Mecca, Darryl (Diane) Watson of San Diego, Sherri (Allen) Dorsey of Damascus, Amy (Harry Sapp) Coldsnow of Pennsylvania, Lora (Ray Myers) Harley of Warren, and Susan (Brian) Young of Berlin Center.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Bell; stepfather, Alvin Watson; brother, Larry Watson and a sister, Linda Bell.

Calling hours will be held for Stephen from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. Military honors will be observed at 4 p.m.

Cremation will take place following the service.
