ASPERGER'S GROUP MEETS: The Asperger's Group of Northeast Ohio will meet at 7 p.m. today at Canfield Presbyterian Church, 140 W. Main St. The meeting is open to anyone with Asperger's, their families, loved ones or anyone interested in learning more about the disorder.

The speaker for the evening will be Erica Brown, director of All Children Learn Differently. She will speak on how Asperger's affects learning; there will also be a question-and-answer session following her presentation.

NETWORK OFFERS SEMINAR FOR NURSING HOME RULES: A seminar on legal and financial issues regarding Medicaid Resource and Income Rules for Nursing Home and PASSPORT will be offered by the Alzheimer's Assistance and Referral Network on Wednesday. The presenter will be Atty. Elliot P. Legow, a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. The session will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the conference room of the Girard Free Library, 105 E. Prospect St. Handouts will be provided. It is important for family caregivers to understand the basics of the Medicaid program as they plan for future needs of their loved one.

MS SUPPORT GROUP TO MEET: The MS Support Group will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Knights of Columbus Warren Council, 1947 E. Market St., Warren. The group will provide information and resources that enhance the quality of life for people with multiple sclerosis and their families. There is no cost to attend and refreshments will be served. SHARON REGIONAL GRANTED ACCREDITATION: Sharon Regional Health System has been granted AABB accreditation for blood transfusion services.

Accreditation follows an intensive onsite assessment by specially trained AABB assessors and establishes that the level of technical and administrative performance within the facility meets or exceeds the standards set by the AABB. By successfully meeting those requirements, Sharon Regional joins similar facilities located throughout the United States and around the world that also have earned AABB accreditation.

ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP MEETINGS: The Alzheimer's Association will be holding its monthly caregiver support groups on the following dates:

FLU CLINIC TO BE HELD: A flu clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. daily at Warren West Community Health Center, 716 Tod Ave., Warren. Medicaid and Medicare will be accepted. All others are $20 each. Walk-ins are welcome. For more information, call 330-373-0222.
