CANTON - Fourth-seeded Tony El-Hayek of Canfield has advanced the quarterfinals of the Division I tennis sectional at Weis Park.
He defeated Louisville's Anthony Hoover 6-0, 6-2 in the first round, Massillon's Andrew Eslich 6-0, 6-0 and Marietta's Wes Kline 6-2, 6-2. El-Hayek will next play Jashua Duerr of Lake.
Three local doubles teams have advanced in the competition that was held at Stadium Park.
Canfield had two teams advance - Ryan Kaleel and Ryan Yankush will play Ben Shaheen and Ben Nelson of Jackson in the quarterinals, Will Brown and Nicholas Debiec will play Clay Schnars and Justin Maranville of Lake, and Boardman's Julian Testa and Brian Hirschl plays Tyler Sarver and Tim Bruin of Hoover.

AAC?AMERICAN:?AUSTINTOWN - Fitch dominated both the boys and girls competitions Tuesday in the All-American Conference, American Division meet.
The Falcons defeated Howland 214-92 in the boys meet and Canfield 184-139 in the girls. Fitch won 11 of 15 boys events and 10 of 15 girls events.
Double winners were Fitch's Billy Price in the the shot put (58 feet, 1 feet) and discus (180-6), Jay Jakovina in the long jump (20-5) and high jump (6-6), Gabby Figueroa in the shot put (37-6) and discus (117-2) and Paige Henley in the high jump (5-2) and long jump (14-2), and Canfield's Emma Lunne in the 1600 (5:26.93) and 3200 (1:44.24).
AAC?NATIONAL:?JEFFERSON - Lakeview won the boys team title and Girard won the girls title at the All-American Conference, National Division meet.
Lakeview's Lauren Schattinger was the only triple winner on the day, winning the 100 (12.56), 200 (26.32) and 400 (1:00.37).
Lakeview's Trevor Watson won the shot put (49-11) and discus (144-7), Girard's Jamel McClenson won the 110 hurdles (14.92) and 300 hurdles (40.90) and Eric Harris of Lakeview placed first in the 1,600 (4:40.17) and 800 (2:00.12).
In the girls events, LaBrae's Megan Gunther won the 100 hurdles (15.58) and 300 hurdles (48.75).
Baseball
WESTERN RESERVE 6, LOWELLVILLE 1: BERLIN CENTER - Jordan White pitched a complete game with 11 strikeouts for Western Reserve in this Division IV sectional semifinal.
Parker Clegg had a pair of hits and drove in two runs for the Blue Devils (16-5). Randy Pavlicko had three hits for Lowellville. Western Reserve is scheduled to play either Leetonia or Lordstown in a sectional final. The two teams are scheduled to play today at 4:30, weather permitting.
SOUTHEAST 6, WINDHAM 3: WINDHAM - The Pirates completed the season sweep of the Bombers as Brandon Olson and Zack Sollaz each had two RBIs.
Southeast (11-9, 10-2 Portage Trail Conference, County Division) beat Windham (10-7, 4-8) Monday. Kowelski had two RBIs for the Bombers.
