June A. Baumann 1919-2012

NILES - June A. Baumann, 92, formerly of Warren, passed away at 11:10 p.m. Monday, April 30, 2012, at Shepherd of the Valley in Niles.

She was born June 13, 1919, in New Kensington, Pa., the daughter of the late Raula Edward and Nan Mae Kunkle Alter.

She was a 1940 graduate of the Citizens General Hospital School of Nursing in New Kensington and came to the Warren area in 1943. June was a registered nurse for Sunlight Electric, Packard Electric and Green Cross Hospital in Warren before retiring in 1962.

She was a member of Morning Light Chapter 80 -Order of Eastern Star and a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Warren.

She is survived by her husband, Martin L "Jack" Baumann, whom she married July 9, 1940, in Gore, Va. Together they have shared almost 72 years of marriage. She also will be sadly missed by a daughter, Judith J. Bellock of Manassas, Va.; a granddaughter, Jeannine (Joao) Blomberg of Fairfax, Va.; three great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Morgan and Phoebe; and a sister, Jane Yates of Herndon, Va.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Calvin Alter; and two sisters, Janet D'Amico and an infant, Nan.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Warren. Pastor Ann Marie Winters will officiate. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lane Family Funeral Homes Roberts-Clark Chapel and for one hour prior to the Saturday service at the church. Entombment will be in the Crown Hill Cemetery Mausoleum.

The family suggests material contributions be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or to Shepherd of the Valley in Niles.
