EL PASO, Texas - Del H. Carr, 83, died Thursday, April 5, 2012.
He was born Oct. 26, 1928, the son of the late Robert F. Carr and Blanche E. Brisbee Carr.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Carr of El Paso; four daughters, Barbara Nelson of Tallahassee, Fla., Jeanie Myers of Pensacola, Fla., Judy Hansford of Clarksville, Tenn. and Kim Konecny of Pensacola; a son, Del H. Carr Jr. of Waynesburg, Ky.; two stepdaughters, Geneva Titus and Jolene Hinkle; two brothers, Ray Carr of Warren and William Carr of Millsboro, Del.; three sisters, Mabel Hurd of Orwell, Flossie Olah of Severn, Md., and FayeEllen Krieg Ely of Kansas City, Kan.; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Yasako Miyake Carr, a brother and a sister.
Committal service was held April 12 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso.
A memorial service honoring his life will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. May 5 at Champion Church at the Nazarene, Warren, for family and friends.
Arrangements were handled by Sunset Funeral Home, El Paso.
