I lived in paradise (interchange of Route 11 and 87 in Green Township) in a simple log home surrounded by nature's finest offerings ... birds soared in fresh air above me; fish swam in clean water of nearby lakes and ponds; deer, turkey and countless small animals took shelter in my woods.
Today, I live in fear and helplessness after learning of a proposed "injection well facility" to be placed so close to my home as to destroy my family's privacy, sanctuary and eventually our health. Our only hope lies in the personal integrity of those on our zoning committee. No laws are in place requiring the benefactors of the "well" to disclose the precise chemical contents of the toxic waste they will be depositing for hours every weekday.
Tanker trucks targeting Warren's outlying neighborland are coming from Texas, New York and Pennsylvania. Why should we host a toxic garbage dump for states wise enough to outlaw this risk in their own states' back yard?
