CHAMPION - Onnilee A. Haggerty, 86, ascended to the arms of Jesus with her family by her side at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.
She was born Nov. 16, 1925, in Richwood, W.Va., the daughter of the late Archie J. and Hala Falls Adams.
Mrs. Haggerty's greatest joy was being a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, the Gaithers' music, reading her Bible and her church life, as she was an active member at the Warren Revival Center.

Survivors include four children, Ronald (Judy) Haggerty of Warren, Barbara H. Long of Leavittsburg, and Marcia K. (Donald) Scott and Brenda L. (Jerry) Jones, both of Champion; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Other than her parents, Onnilee was preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Haggerty, on Oct. 19, 2010, and they were united in marriage on Feb. 9, 1946; a brother, Drew Adams; one infant brother; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. today at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where Pastor James Holbrook will celebrate Onnilee's life. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
Onnilee will be buried in Champion Township Cemetery alongside her husband.
