NEWTON FALLS - Thomas W. Kerchofer Sr., 79, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Allendale Assisted Living.
He was born Jan. 9, 1933, in Youngstown, the son of the late Jacob and Mary Ann Hinterhauser Kerchofer.
Thomas was retired from Community Skilled Nursing Centre. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and playing the button box accordion.

Survivors include seven children, Richard T. Kerchofer of Warren, Linda M. Elliott of Howell, Mich., Diane M. Kerchofer of Canfield, Joan M. (Kenneth) Pringle of Rootstown, Gerald T. Kerchofer of Warren, and David T. and Thomas W. Kerchofer Jr., both of Howland; and three grandchildren, Lauren and Andrea Elliott and Andrew Pringle. Tom is also survived by seven sisters, Mary T. Tondy, Theresa C. Gallo, Frances E. Bielecki, Elizabeth A. Tondy, Helen L. Kerchofer, Anna K. Pallay and Barbara J. (Joseph) Cavalier; and many nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Thomas Elliott; two brothers, John and Jacob "Jack" Kerchofer; and five brothers-in-law, James "Jiggs" Tondy, Paul Gallo, Walter Bielecki, Alfred "Tubby" Tondy and William Pallay.
Private services will be held Monday at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where the Rev. Father Andrew Deskevich will celebrate Thomas' life.
Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery, Bazetta.
