Opera House to host ‘McKinley’

WILLIAM McKINLEY PART OF MUSEUM SERIES: The Cortland-Bazetta Historical Society will open its spring "Morning at the Museum'' series at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Opera House in Cortland with President William McKinley as portrayed by Mike Wilson. The program is open to the public and the $5 admission includes continental breakfast and a tour of the museum.

OPEN HOUSE SET IN HUBBARD: The Hubbard Historical Society's McBride House, 27 Hager St., will be open from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Society members will be on hand to offer guided tours of the house built in 1883.

TOY BINGO PLANNED: Toy bingo will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Michael's Church, Ridge Road, Newton Falls. Doors open at 1 p.m. Cost is $5 per person and extra cards are $1. Each child must be accompanied by an adult. There also will be 50/50 and other raffles.

NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION TO MEET: The Northwest Neighborhood Association will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Grace United Methodist Church, 1725 Drexel, Warren. Guest speaker is police Chief Tim Bowers.

MODEL RAILROADS FEATURED AT SHOW: The Youngstown Model Railroad Association is holding its annual spring flea market from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at McMenamy's, 325 Youngs-town Warren Road, Niles. Various railroad-related items will be shown, including photographs and memorabilia. Admission is $5 for adults and free to children 12 and younger.

SCHOOL CARNIVAL SPONSORED BY PARENT ORGANIZATION: The Champion Central PTO will hold a school carnival from 8 a.m to 3 p.m. Saturday at the high school.

CHILDREN'S CLOTHES PART OF RESALE: The sale of gently used clothes, toys, maternity items and baby furniture will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Youngstown Saxon Club, 710 Meridian Road, Youngstown. There will be bake sale and raffle. Early bird is $5 from 11 a.m. to noon and $1 from noon to 4 p.m.

HOME SAVINGS BRANCHES KICK OFF BAKE SALE: Twenty Home Savings and Loan branches throughout Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties are holding a charity bake sale fundraiser today and Saturday. The event raises money for the Mahoning County Animal Charity, Humane Society of Columbiana County and the Close to Home Animal Rescue in Trumbull County. Books, DVDs and CDs also will be for sale.

SALE TO HELP RELAY: The fifth annual Relay for Life rummage sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at First Community Church, 6460 W. Market St., Leavittsburg.

SOCIETY TO HOLD MEETING: The American Society for Quality Youngstown-Warren Section 0805 will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Kent Trumbull Campus, 4314 Mahoning Ave. N.W. in the Workforce Development building, Room 211W.
