BOYS BASKETBALL

KENNEDY 77, SOUTHINGTON 45: SOUTHINGTON - Raitwann Gaston had a game-high 23 points to lead the Eagles past the host Wildcats. Dominic Naples added 17, while Luke Keck added 14 for Kennedy (4-13). Dillon McCoy led Southington (5-13) with 16 points, while Jacob Zolna added 10. Tuesday, Southington travels to Columbiana.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

KENNEDY 41, CHANEL 12: BEDFORD - Chanel Thornton had six of her game-high 12 points in the first quarter as the Eagles easily dispatched the winless Firebirds in this North Coast League contest. Gabby Morgan led Chanel (0-18, 0-9) with four points. Wednesday, Kennedy (11-8, 7-2) hosts Cleveland Central Catholic in another NCL contest.

BADGER 74, SS. JOHN AND PAUL 35: KINSMAN - Holly Masters had all of her 10 points in the fourth quarter as the Braves rolled past the Heralds in this makeup game from January. Sarah Bonar got Badger (8-11) off to a good start with 11 of her game-high 32 in the first quarter as the Braves vaulted out to a 17-6 advantage. Then, Izabella Armstrong had a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Also, Taylor Kramar added 16 in Badger's offensive explosion. Rae Benedict and Krissy Gallo each had nine points for SS. John and Paul (1-17). Thursday, Badger travels to Conneaut, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

WESTERN RESERVE 52, SOUTHINGTON 43: SOUTHINGTON - Hannah Mowery drained four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Blue Devils. She scored 15 points in the first half to help her team extablish a 25-20 advantage going into the third quarter. Colleen Kennehan chipped in 11 points for the Red Devils. Rachael Wilson scored 11 points for the Wildcats, who also got nine points, 10 rebounds and six assists from Abby Pate.

WEST BRANCH 64, AUSTINTOWN FITCH 31: AUSTINTOWN - Melinda Trimmer scored 19 points for the Warriors (18-2), who also got 11 points each from Rebekah Zets and Padin Heath. Fitch (10-8) got 14 points from Anissa Hill.

CRESTWOOD 62, SOUTHEAST 45: PALMYRA - Southeast led 12-11 after the first quarter, but trailed 37-20 at halftime and could not get back in the game. Shayna White led the Pirates with 16 points and Brittany Butcher put in 14. Jackson had a game-high 19 points for Crestwood. Younger scored 14 and Vingley chipped in 12.
