SWEARING-IN CEREMONY: Warren city council will hold its swearing-in ceremony at 4:30 p.m. today in council chambers at the Municipal Justice Building, 141 South St. S.E. Municipal Court Judge Thomas Gysegem will swear in council members.
WINTER DRIVE: Liberty residents are collecting winter outerwear for area families. Collection bin barrels have been placed at the school buildings, bus garage and Temple El Emeth. Items being accepted are coats, hats, gloves, scarves and backpacks. Distribution will be coordinated through the township from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the administration building.
EVENT TO HELP FIGHT BREAST CANCER: Bartell's Cupcakery is hosting a bridal event and craft fair to benefit the Susan G. Komen 3 Day walk from 5 to 9 p.m. Jan. 6 at the Saxon Club in Austintown. The person making application must have their photo identification, Social Security cards for everyone in the home, gas bill or past fuel oil receipt and electric bill.
