Gina Abruzzino and Matthew Ries were united in marriage during a wedding ceremony held Oct. 15, 2011, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles. Officiating the ceremony was the Rev. Larry Frient.
A reception was held following the ceremony at the Hippodrome in Warren.
The bride is the daughter of Phyllis and John Abruzzino of Niles. Parents of the groom are Deborah and James Ries of Warren.

Kali Candella served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jenn Bartholomew, Courtney Pilch, Sarah Ries, Erin Shaker, Nicole Wayt and Malia Voytik. Katie Hitt and Cailyn Ries were the flower girls.
Jon Shaw served as best man. Groomsmen were brother of the bride, Vito Abruzzino, along with John Paul Jacola, Chris Kardassilaris, James Nichols, Joseph Pandelli and Ben Shaker. Julian Hitt, Jackson Pryts and Max Ries were the ring bearers.
The new Mrs. Ries is a 2001 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. She obtained a bachelor's degree in middle childhood education from Youngstown State University, along with a master's degree in educational administration. She is employed as a sixth-grade teacher for the Boardman Local School District.
Mr. Ries is a 2001 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, and obtained a bachelor's degree in accounting from Miami University and juris doctorate from Capital University Law School. He is a lawyer in Cleveland where he practices in the area of labor and employment.
The couple resides in Niles.
