NEWTON FALLS - Dorothy C. Gumino, 87, of Newton Falls, passed away peacefully into eternal life on Friday Nov. 25, 2011, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Dorothy was born on April 26, 1924, in Wheatland, Pa., the daughter of the late Stephen and Catherine Girsh Teutsch.
She had lived in Newton Falls most of her life, working as a tow motor driver for Packard Electric for 32 years before retiring in 1992. Dorothy was affectionately known as "Grandma" there.

Dorothy was a member of the Red Hat Society (Scarlett Bonnets) in Newton Falls and the VFW in Florida. She collected all types of Shirley Temple memorabilia, including dolls and plates.
She enjoyed crafting, cooking and playing cards, especially SKIP-BO and gin. In her younger years, she loved roller skating from Newton Falls all the way to Lake Milton.
Memories of Dorothy will be carried on by her loving family, her daughters, Cheryl and Mark Waldorf of Newton Falls and Teresa Gumino of Greensville, S.C.; her sons, Tony and Mildred Gumino of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Carmen and Debbie Gumino of Lake Milton; her sisters, Catherine Stroup of Newton Falls and Alice Nalbach of Warren; her brothers, Harry and Shirley Teutsch of Campbell, Calif., and John and Elaine Teutsch of Rockledge, Fla.; her 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carmen J. Gumino; two sons, Joseph and James Gumino; and eight brothers Fred, Eddie, Jimmy, Robert, William, David, Richard and Steve Teutsch.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls. There will be no funeral services, and cremation will follow.
Dorothy will be laid to rest next to her sons, Jimmy and James Gumino, in Newton Falls Cemetery.
