SOUTH BEND, Ind. The Rev. Harold D. Grim, 91, passed away early on Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, in Milton Home, South Bend.
Harold was born on April 8, 1920, in McKeesport, Pa., to William and Sylvia (Gilbert) Grim. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
On April 12, 1946, in McKeesport, Pa., he married the former Arthurine Frederickson who passed away on Aug. 26, 2006.
Surviving are a daughter, Joy (Ken) Swindler of South Bend; four grandchildren, Bethany (Thad) Murillo of The Bronx, N.Y., Brent Swindler of Denver, Colo., Kirsten (Jon) Balon of Canton, Mich., and Joshua Swindler of South Bend and a great granddaughter, Sophia Murillo.
Harold worked as a Tool and Die Maker for various manufacturers before becoming a minister. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II. He also attended Trinity Evangelist Free Church.
Rev. Grim served and pastored in several churches in Linesville and Smethport, Pa.; Weirton and Wheeling, W.Va., and Flushing, Kinsman and the North Mar Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Warren.
A private family viewing will take place in Indiana. Harold will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery in Vienna.
Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St., Mishawaka, Ind., has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
