On Aug. 10, 1946, Charles W. Cross and Mary L. Greaser were united in marriage by Dell Rogers, justice of the peace in Cortland.
Mr.Cross was employed by Copperweld Steel prior to his enlistment into the Army during World War II. During his enlistment, he traveled throughout Europe. After his honorable discharge from the Army, he returned to CSC and retired from there with 34 years of service to the company.
The couple have resided in Cortland troughout their married life.

During the course of their marriage, they were blessed with three children, Charles R. Cross of Cortland, Rosemary Z. (Brian D.) Miller of Champion and Jerry O. Cross (deceased). They also have 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
They were honored at a small dinner party marking their 65th anniversary given by their daughter and son-in-law at Ponderosa Steak House on Elm Road in Warren.
