Warren Incubator site announced
WARREN - The Kresge Building in downtown Warren was announced this afternoon as the location for the future Tech Belt Energy Innovation Center, a green energy business incubator.
The building, located at 125 W. Market St. on Warren's Courthouse Square Park, is owned by Taylor Holding Co. Ohio LLC.
At a press conference a short time ago, backers of the project said the building's location in the heart of the downtown was a prime factor for it being picked, as well as its ability to be converted into space for office and technical facilities.
The goal of the Tech Belt Energy Innovation Center is to establish the city of Warren and the entire "Tech Belt" region as a center for growing new businesses that will develop innovative advanced energy technologies and bring them to market.
It is hoped the center can be up and running by the second or third quarter of 2011.
