DEAR EDITOR:
There has been a lot of talk about the Bush tax cuts. They were touted that they would help the lower and middle class by trickling down to the working population.
They culminated in a recession and destruction of the American economy. Greed has won out and I am still waiting for my share. To allow tax reduction to continue will not help you and me, but the rich again will gain a windfall, which they will horde for themselves.
The Republicans were in office for eight years and what did we get? Our jobs shipped overseas. We lost homes due to poor bank management. Before getting caught up in the Tea Party, remember the party that cost people their jobs. They can't be taxed on no wages. This administration is trying to get people back what they lost in those eight years. But that can't happen without the people's help.
All those who are hopeful for a better future should let their voices be heard. Don't be intimidated by the minority. Some people feel that he who yells loudest is right.
I say, speak softly and carry a big stick. The greedy few need to be taken to the woodshed. See you at the polls.
