DEAR EDITOR:
With all the political scandals we see in the media nowadays, it's no wonder our valley is in its current economic shape. The process of electing individuals based on who raises and spends the most money for self-promotion brings us again and again to where we are today. Buying influence has to stop before anyone ever views us in a positive light.
What happened to electing individuals with similar views and life experiences? What happened to electing those who worked with and alongside the people they represent to achieve mutual goals? What happened to knowing that every voice is heard and respecting differences of opinion?
This does not mean that every wish needs to be granted, but rather knowing what needs should be met first. Lastly and most importantly what happened to electing individuals who put faith in God and in return receive the guidance to know right from wrong in their decisions?
People need to educate themselves on who the candidates are and what they represent because the results will be a reflection of the Valley now and the direction of our future.
