Girard High receives award

Girard High School administrators John Spano, left, and David Leo hold up a banner presented to the district by Diana Rogers, regional coordinator for High Schools That Work. The banner recognizes Girard High School for receiving the Silver Award for Applied Learning from the program. High Schools That Work is a national effort to engage states, districts and schools in improving student success for the world of work and for further education and offers a framework providing direction for schools to improve academic and career-technical instruction.
