Lillian M. Davis Bateman 1929-2009

ALBION, Pa. - Lillian M. Curtis Davis Bateman, 80, entered into eternal rest on Saturday morning, Dec. 5, 2009, at her home in Albion, Pa. She was born May 26, 1929, in Albion, the daughter of the late Ralph and Helen Ray Curtis.

She married her first husband, James H. Davis Aug. 2, 1952; he preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 1959. She married her second husband, Archie C. Bateman Aug. 14, 1965; he preceded her in death on Aug. 3, 2009.

Lillian is survived by her loving family, son James R. Davis and wife Patty of Warren; daughter Janet R. Rodney and husband Patrick of Harborcreek, Pa.; grandchildren, Jaimee Davis, Matthew Rodney and wife Beth, Nicole Benjamin and Megan Rodney. She also is survived by her sister, Clara Mae Johnson Maslovsky and her sister-in-law, Florence English; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, at the Steff-Mattera Funeral Home, 188 East State Street, Albion, Pa. 16401. A celebration of Lillian's life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace United Methodist Church, 49 Franklin Street, Albion, Pa. with the Rev. Larry Reitz officiating. Lillian will be laid to rest at Spring Cemetery, Springboro, Pa.
