VERNON - Roy L. "Bub" Bailes, age 68, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009.
He was born Nov. 24, 1940, in Warren, the son of Alice M. (Hines) and Roy Nelson Bailes.
Mr. Bailes was a 1958 graduate of Vernon High School. He was a foreman for the former Taylor Steel Co. of Lordstown.
Mr. Bailes enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and taking walks.
Preceding Mr. Bailes in death was his father; a son, Jeffrey Lee Bailes, who died in 1976; and two brothers, Robert and James Bailes.
Survivors include his daughter, Sharon Lee (Robert) Massey of Leavittsburg; three grandchildren, Anna, Lewis and Rachel; his mother, Alice M. Bailes of Vernon; three sisters, Brenda (Dave) Reighard of Canfield, Alda (George) Letcher of Vernon and Marsha (Blaise) Tunstall of Jamestown, Pa.; two brothers, Larry "Tim" Bailes of Canfield and Dave (Dixie) Bailes of Gustavus; his step-mother, Arlene Bailes of Cortland; and step-sister, Lois (Denny) Lamp of Cortland.
Calling hours will be 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, Ohio.
Private burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery.
